1) Health, Physical Activity and Societal Impact 

Abstracts are welcome in this strand on empirical research and frontline practices relating to physical activity, sport, physical education and their contribution to physical and mental health, wellbeing and social inclusion across different populations and settings. The strand draws on WHO frameworks and regional policy discussions, linking sport and physical education to health systems, sustainability and equity. It is intended to bring together researchers, educators, health professionals, policymakers and community partners across Asia to discuss evidence, interventions and policies that can help shape more active societies and inform practice, advocacy and decision-making across the region.

2) Excellence in Sport, Physical Education and Performance  

Abstracts are welcome in this strand on research and applied practices relating to physical literacy, sport performance, physical education, coaching, talent development and technology-enhanced learning. The strand considers how sport and physical education can support excellence, sustain engagement and foster development across the continuum from school-based learning to elite performance. It is intended to bring together PE teachers, coaches, sport scientists, performance specialists, researchers and educational leaders across Asia to discuss evidence-informed approaches to learning, motivation, resilience, athlete and student development, and performance enhancement. 

3) Professional Practice 

Abstracts are welcome in this strand on applied research such as field work with athletes and students as part of professional practice, as well as policy and the development of professional practice in sport and exercise science across Asia. While countries such as Australia, the United Kingdom and the United States have established systems of accreditation and professional recognition, no comparable framework yet exists across Asia. The strand is intended to bring together practitioners, scientists, deans, heads of department, professional bodies and academic leaders across the Asia region, to discuss commonality of practice, athlete preparation, quality assurance, standards and graduate preparation, and to consider how a more coherent regional approach might be developed over time.

We welcome submissions across diverse academic disciplines and professional fields, interdisciplinary perspectives that bridge theory, practice, and policy. Submissions may present empirical research, theoretical frameworks and conceptual advancements, real-world professional practices, innovative educational approaches, or community-based initiatives.
