Professor HONG Ping

  • Standing Member of the CPC Committee and Vice President of Beijing Sport University

Professor Hong Ping, Ph.D., Professor and Doctoral Supervisor, Standing Member of the CPC Committee and Vice President of Beijing Sport University. He is a recipient of a National Major Talent Programme and an expert entitled to the State Council Special Government Allowance. He currently serves as President of the China Student Nutrition and Health Promotion Association, Standing Member of the 9th Council of China Sport Science Society, and Chair of its Academic Working Committee. Prof. Hong was also a member of the Science and Technology Expert Group for the 2008 Beijing Olympics, 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics, 2012 London Olympics, 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics, and 2016 Rio Olympics. In 2020, he was appointed Deputy Director of the Winter Sports Management Center of the General Administration of Sport of China, responsible for the scientific and technological support for national teams, medical services, anti-doping, and related work.

Prof Hong has long been engaged in research on sports training, technological service support for national teams, R&D of sports equipment, and exercise for physical fitness and health. He has achieved a series of innovative research outcomes in the field of technology-assisted Olympic preparation.
