Dagmara Dimitriou is Professor of Sleep, Education and Research Laboratory at University College London (UCL). Her research, grounded in a developmental approach, explores how sleep shapes cognitive development, learning, and mental health across childhood and adolescence to adulthood.

She has a particular interest in neurodevelopmental conditions, including ADHD and autism, examining how sleep affects cognitive domains, behaviour, academic outcomes as well as family functioning.

She serves as Editor-in-Chief for Research in Autism and Research in Neurodiversity and has published peer reviewed studies across psychology and medical field. Her work has informed education policy and public understanding of sleep and child development, contributing to improved outcomes for children and young people.
